I am going to use my domain name as my email address, as I did before.  To avoid the spam problem I have changed the prefix and as soon as things are organised I will reveal.  Poul will send me the email settings for this email address and I am happy to be getting it back.

I have consulted Ernie Soapy Hudson, I do remember Eric diddit Elson but Eric Wells I can't remember.  Oh Ken will remember diddit as well.  Can I upgrade my Then & Now sometime to correctly address the vast  time difference, and send a more appropriate photo for an 82 year old.

I wonder if is Plusnet is sulking because I am in the process of leaving?  I got Terry's email about Graham's address but when I press send and receive there are error messages.  I think my mobile is changed over but not sure about the broadband.  I have emailed Graham with the address that we both have, so we will see.  It could be an expensive time for me because I think Plusnet will want me to pay towards the months that I have left of the contract.  Good job we have this MB isn't it.

Is your Labor like our useless Labour party?  It is a shame and will upset many old proper Labour voters and not the left wing luvvies living in London.  That is why there was such a swing to the Tory's last election, well the lefties and Brexit, but I don't think the "red Wall" as they call it will vote Tory again.  The Red Wall being constituencies who have always been Labour back in the history of voting, but they voted with their feet and left the silly lefties.  I have been Tory for a few years now with the advent of the Momentum, an extreme left group who supported Corbyn.  I am forced to vote Tory but Boris is going the wrong way these days, but where can I turn?  Nowhere because I will not vote for the silly Lib Dems.

Doc was a one line poster but he did make an effort and Ernie was a regular as well.  Ock was good as well and we are losing them one by one.

Ernie is alive and well and still in Perth. He is too interested in his friend Jean to come on our MB Terry.  I keep asking him to though.  Alby Simpson is looking after a sick wife so he has other things on his mind.

I can't get in touch with Teresa and I am sure that she would give us some info.  Martin you were with him in 2 Sigs weren't you? I don't what other units he was in. He went from 208 to demob.

General Discussion / Gas Price Increase
« on: 05 November, 2021, 03:00:14 PM »
I just got a terrible shock.  All last winter my energy costs were £70 per month direct debit.  My monthly cost for this winter is £167 per month, and that works out at around £38.50 a week.  That is a lot for one person.  Just wondering if Terry has had an increase.  Have you had a gas hike in price in Australia?? :'(

Something just dawned on me.  How do we put any photos which we receive on to the website, in fact how does anything get published?  It would be a good idea to update the Then & Now and also the Obit section.  We haven't added Tony, Ocker, Bob Blackbourne and many more, but it might not be possible to get any info about the person.  It would be up to Martin, or Ken to provide a bit of info.

I think there must have been a rush of people who were curious about 208 and began to search, maybe people don't do that any more.  My internet friend "Oliver" used Flicker but I can't remember the software that me and the Lover used.  Even I was able to publish things but the software got too complicated or my brain started to rot - but I was unable to do it. When He died an ex Royal Signals person offered to take care of it.   We used that file transfer thingy then but even he has now become not really fit enough to help.  People used to email me the photos and I posted them up with appropriate write ups.

I downloaded W11 about an hour ago Lee.  Its just a bit new look as far as I can see. File Explorer and Control Panel (a must for me) are till there thank goodness. I thought that I would be deleting stuff for ages like I had to do in Edge, when I first used it. It remembers what I want which is just a plain and bare browser with no fancy stuff. I looks nice though.

I am still not able to connect my JBL Bluetooth speaker to my laptops or my PC so could it be broken.  It was in the conservatory when my youngest   6 years old grandson was there. Did he drop it I wonder? I will never know.  It lights up and the bluetooth icon comes on and waits to be discovered - but it never is found.

Anyone any ideas? ::)

Simon told me that the Aussie PM walked out of the assembled gathering.  Love to know why Lee or Martin or Ken?  I haven't taken much notice of it but I will do what ever I am asked to do.  Must say Greta speaks absolutely perfect English and I love to listen to her, so I wonder if all Danish children learn English so perfectly.

I never look at the times of posting.  It is good to see a few more posts on the MB as we all get to grips - I hope, with it
