All well here Martin. We recently had a week in Budapest (Hungary). Visited our daughter who is working out there with the film industry for 6 months, then the production moves to Abu Dhabi, wont be going there though dont like the place, no atmosphere just a concrete jungle of shopping malls and over priced hotels !! Recently had a bad case of sciatica, very painful and disabling, getting over it now thank goodness. No mention of Liverpools achievement last season Martin ? Arsenal are off to a good start this season I hope it carries on. Take care love to Linh and Suney

Its got to have something to do with the ever changing climate, we have had no significant rain fall in this part of the world (Cornwall for over 4 weeks now and it looks like there is non forecast for the near future. what sort of effect is it having in your part of the world folks ? but deniers like the buffoon Trump will say there is no such thing as climate change !! I see that Putin has managed to pull the wool over Trump in the farce they called negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.

A belated happy New Year to all. What will this year bring us? Trump as president of the USA, Putin still waging war against Ukraine and of course all the upheaval in the middle east. Are we going to see even more weather related disasters? And of course the unpredictable China. Lets all hope that we have some sanity to come! Now on a less gloomy note all is fine down here in Cornwall and I hope all is ok with you all. I often think back to my time in Malaya, I wonder how much I spent on Tiger beer an
d Rum? Haven't got the capacity to do it now, the old bones wont allow. Good luck to you all have a good year.

But Martin if he was in the UK he would not need to pay for his treatment plus in UK I do believe that couples that live together but are not have the same legal status as married couples.

The world seems to have got into a right old mess. Conflicts all over N. Africa, Garza and Israel, Ukraine and Russia, 2 old men vying to be President of USA, 1 a complete wing nut (Trump) the other does not know what time of day it is. UK politicians behaving like a bunch of school children, European countries trying to come to a combined agreement on how to support Ukraine. I could go on for a lot longer. I am perhaps being selfish now but at my age I am coming to the conclusion that I dont give a rats arse sure in my pensions and home. My rant for the day over !!

Have any of you erstwhile chefs purchased an air fryer? Since getting married I have not bothered with cooking only the simple things, relied on my wife, lazy git I know. But buying one it has kindled an interest in cooking as it is so simple to use and does away with all the pots and pans used on a conventional stove/oven. Take care all

Lets hope we can attract our old comrades back ! Weather down here in Cornwall has been warm and sunny, sometimes hot, we are on a hosepipe ban, been on one for nearly 9 months so a couple days of rain would be welcome. hope to hear from more on this site.

I enjoyed it also Pam although our street/crescent on the Saturday was a disappointment as the weather turned wet and cold, otherwise enjoyed the whole thing, Paddington Bear and the Queen was very amusing now we know what she keeps in her handbag.

Hello Scouse, I have not had covid so far neither has my wife although many friends and relatives have. We have both had our fourth vaccine and we still wear the dreaded mask when in crowed places, ie supermarkets but notice that fewer and fewer people are. Went up to London (Ealing) for Easter were my daughter now lives and noticed a lot more people wearing masks but most were elderly. My daughter works for a film making company and has traveled to Spain, Portugal, Italy and even Iceland and she says that it is mainly the elderly in these countries that wear masks. So it appears that in Eurpoe at least that governments have relaxed their rules and are learning to live with covid  and treating it like flu. It appears that to keep covid at bay is to get as many of the population vaccinated as possible. The dreaded Spurs did not do Liverpool any favours , drawing  one all. Arsenal play Spurs Thursday night and of course I am hoping for a win so that Arsenal can consolidate 4th place, could even get third !! Stay safe love to Linh, Terry
